I wonder if it really is possible to share someone’s dream. I think that the only way to share a dream is if you verbally share the dream. I find it hard to believe that you can share someone’s dreams unconsciously. I find it interesting that the dreamer is considered a vessel of a borrowed thought. That someone who is separated by a distance can influence someone’s dreaming. It makes me wonder if we do this to each other when we are sleeping. Like maybe we are dreaming about someone’s thoughts that might be in the next room while you are in a state of sleep. I think that it is also interesting that it is also possible for the human mind to show an effect on things from bacteria to enzyme activity. This gives a whole new meaning to mind over matter to me.

The extended eye chapter, really made me wonder are there people who can really see thing that maybe thousands of miles away or place that a normal civilian has no idea it exists. I found it mind boggling that Ingo Swann was able to change the patterns of a piece of equipment that nothing in the normal field of thought could change. What Swann did was extraordinary in my eyes. It kind of makes me wonder is someone is watching me do my everyday activities without me even knowing what is going on. It also shows that the government also had a great interest in this subject matter. It is as if the government was very interested in The Field during the cold war. It’s almost as soon as the government found out that the Russians were using the new technique of spying they wanted to get a step ahead of them so they rapidly jumped at the idea. I find it hard to believe that it is possible that anyone can do this without any extraordinary gift.

I really found that last chapter to be really astonishing. The way that Price and others were able to see through the eyes of their partners in the experiment. It made me wonder if they are able to see back in time to wars for example and see what really was going on. During one experiment they were able to see things that didn’t exist in that spot for many and many of decades. It was equally astonishing that they were able to see into the future. Later in the chapter they were able to successfully describe the location before their partner even got there. There were also able to see what their partner happened to be distracted by. I think it would almost be beneficial to use the research in a greater way like using it in war times.
