Blog 1...

A bird
Flying high today
In a sea of blue
The fish are white
A clash of the Gods ensues
Science cannot bare it
A dragon in the midst
Twisting, contorting
Nothing left to deny
The world has come around
And all is connected again

Yesterday I had an "AH HAH!"- moment, I read the first few chapters of The Field. For the past two years I've had a passing interest in Quantum Physics; I'm not a numbers person, but the theories to me ignite new possibilities in every aspect of our existence. Suddenly some of the beliefs in religions around the world have a certain level of credence beyond blind faith.

Modern science is a sticky issue, on one hand we have it to thank for a lot of things, and on the other hand a dogma has developed that throws out any theories that seem too revolutionary. There has been a certain grudge in science toward the actions of many religions over the years of sticking to an established view that does not allow for much innovation in thought; the same can now be said of science.

I think back to what is chiseled into the heads of students in Middle and High Schools around the country. Much of what is currently in text books is out of date. I remember sitting in my junior year chemistry class being told that electrons were not objects, but more like a cloud of energy. Up until that point I remember being taught a matter-based view of the universe. Hopefully by the time I have children, they will be taught an energy-based view, but perhaps by then we may have a better understanding that will make that out of date.
