First and foremost I would like to say wow...

For me personally I am a supporter of progression for our race. Heres an interesting observation I have made, all throughout history dictators were known primarily for their inhumanity. But for some odd reason they were advocates for advancement in technology. The infamous Adolf Hitler created a regime that was technology superior than any other nation on earth. Jet turbines, rockets, infrared viewing equipment, the Nazi regime were the first to discover that cigarettes cause cancer thus Hitler himself promoted anti smoking campaign throughout germany. Why do I bring these facts up about Nazi germany and its former glory? As discussed in the prologue of "The Field" a revolution is occuring, science has time and time again answered many questions that we formerly believed would be the work of otherworldy forces as stated in many religions.

Science is a tricky business however, many people say that where is the morality in it and such. The whole point of science is to answer questions we ask and we cannot have roadblocks slowing that progression down. There have been many horrible incidents in the past and recently though ghastly for some odd reason has advanced our understanding of the world around us and how we run it. Hurricane Katrina the massive storm that devastated New Orleans was believed to be one of many side effects to global warming. Yet many people credited to being sent by god to punish us Americans for our evil ways. Muhammad Yousef Al-Mlaifi, a Kuwaiti government official, gives God the credit as retribution for American foreign involvement:
"I do not think – and only Allah really knows – that this wind, which completely wiped out American cities in these days, is a wind of mercy and blessing. It is almost certain that this is a wind of torment and evil that Allah has sent to this American Empire."

This wasnt an act of god but an act of human ignorance and what we have done to our planet for the last few centuries. It is fact it is science and more catastrophe will occur as we progress as a race, it cannot be stopped. So I ask this question...Where is your god now?
