Blog -9/1/09 chptrs 1-3

I think I can align myself with this book. Although a tough read at times, it is has broaden my ideas of…”where do I stop & you begin…?” (something I ask myself pretty often). I tried to relate it to my everyday life or the way I think, sometimes…(since I am not a quantum physicist, nor do I see it in my future)

I had many random thoughts throughout the first few chapters. The first thing I thought of when I started reading though, was- “is this about antimatter?” I guess I compare the Field/matter in the same kind of way I look at black & white. Its like the opposite of how most people look at it. Instead of being empty space it is actually full of space- space. White is actually the reflection of all colors & black is the reflection if no colors b/c they are being absorbed. You can see the reflection of no colors, or black, but white is all colors reflected & it appears white…always thought that was cool

I also thought about the birth of a star & how so many of these images & others repeat themselves in our natural world.

I thought of God & the creation of all. The Bible says something about God created everything in his breath. He just spoke & there was life, or something like that. It seems to me that everything we have came from the earth, so wouldn’t it all be pretty much the same thing, essentially, if you really broke it down….?

I thought about how it seems like there are people that I’m just really connected to. This is a silly example, but- I will call them or they will call me & say “ wow! I was just gonna call you.” Those kinds of things happen often. Is that coincidence or are we really connected somehow…

I’ve always thought & believed that I am what I eat. The 3rd chapter reminded me of that. I can remember reading a Buddhist teachings book that went so far as saying that if you eat angry chicken (since most of it is angry when its being slaughtered to death) then you will also be angry… Maybe the answers for our ailments just may be as simple as looking to the earth in its basic form for the solution.
