I think chapter 7 really emphasizes the saying "the mind is a terrible thing to waste". The Achuar and Huaorani indians are "simply the vessel the dream decided to borrow to have a conversation wtih the whole tribe." This made me wonder about dreaming itself though. Did every single indian "remember" their dream every night? I know for a fact that you dream everynight but you all know that you can always remember it. What if one of the tribe members forgot their dream and had nothing to contribute? This could prove that there is a ZPF that they are tapped into everynight because of their rituals. I could only imagine what would happen to the poor tribe member that didnt contribute to this sacred ritual they all believed in. My main point of all this is, that somehow these indians were tapping in somehow everynight. What were they tapping into? Probably the ZPF to get their info for the next morning.
I had a pretty interesting experience when I was reading chapter 8. I saw that the chapter as it was titled "the extended eye". Immediatley after i glanced over at a bookshelf in my house and saw the spine of a book labeled "Tapping In" My mind jumped due to us discussing about taping into this field. So I had to put it down and take a glance at the back of the book. It kept talking about EMDR which i was unfamiliar with. Overall it was a book on becoming one with the mind and body to help relieve stress and pain in your body. Anyways i looked up EMDR and saw it stood for "Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing" So i thought it was weird how i read the title The Extended Eye then saw EMDR. But the book itself talks about how you activate your inner power and resilience with a technique called "resource tapping" Could this be tapping into the ZPF? Its supposed to make you overcome trauma you may have gone through in your life, boost confidence, calm the body on a deep, psychological level, and to respond better to stress. Well i remember reading over someones blog on how we are so sidetracked by our jobs, and its gotta be done NOW, and stress is killing us to where we arent performing to our full potential. We could be more resourceful beings if we found this ZPF and i think that is where that book i found was getting at and it relates to what we have been talking about.
Since reading this book I have really taken it to the physical standpoint of the theories talked about. Even though physical things such as Ch'i and EMDR havent been mentioned in this book, the theories are all related. They all have to do with some form of connection to a higher force in the universe.
