I think that this book will be more enjoyable to read just because it seems to be easier to understand. I would have to agree with Allyson that the first two sentences really spark interest. They made me think what I do to pass time when I am waiting for something. Like when I wait at an appointment I start to daydream. I just sit there and think of random things that usually begin with the two words what if. Then I just focus on that until I hear my name and I snap out of that altered state. I have watched some things about shamans. From what I understood they are some of the most spiritual persons in the world. They use many different types of natural hallucinogenic drugs to contact the sprit world. I think that the drugs they take make them feel like they have supernatural powers to combat evil spirits. I remember watching something that some westerners took some of these drugs and they were seeing things that weren’t there. The last few chapters seemed to be out there. The whole being able to see with your hand seems to be impossible. Dreams are one of those things that we may never be able to understand completely. One reason that I think they won’t understand them is because most of the time we can’t remember them. At least that is how it is for me. That is why I think we aren’t able to understand the meanings of them.
